My second example of good design is a Grater. The reason I think graters are examples of good design is that, firstly graters haven’t changed in design over time, they look the same since they were invented. This tool generally has a metal surface punched with sharp-edged holes or slits that are used to break foods into smaller pieces.
Graters tend to have different slots so when preparing food you can produce different sizes of the grated food. Grating is important especially when making salads and for decoration purposes. A suitable grater size is needed for specific decoration purpose. The grater is predominately used to grate cheese but can be used to grate other foods such as Lemons, Limes or oranges to create peel or zest. Graters can be made at minimal cost. They are small- sized, light- weight and also easy to carry and store.
